The Goulden Team's journey began in Rockglen February 1-3, 1982 at the Region Playdowns. They ended up winning the "B" side and qualified for the Southern Playdowns when the "A" winners were unable to attend.
The Southern Playdowns were held in Oxbow February 8-10, 1982. The girls were successful in their first game beating the Louise Carter Rink of Swift Current. After losing their next match to the Yvonne Wenaus Rink of Weyburn, they won their next two games by defeated the Mickey Chelle Rink of Esterhazy and then the Irene Bird Rink of Carlyle. This set up a rematch with the Wenaus Rink in the "B" Event final, with the Assiniboia Team coming out on top giving them a spot at the Provincials in Watrous from February 18-21, 1982.
The Goulden Team lost their first game at Provincials to the Joy Baldwin Team of Yorkton by a score of 10-3. Once again the girls came out strong out of the "B" Event beating the Jean Guest Rink of North Battleford by a score of 8-3 advancing them to the "B" final. The Goulden Team won the final by defeated the Baldwin Team 9-5. They then faced the Eve Krahn Team of Regina in the Provincial Championship, but unfortunately they came up short losing by a score of 10-7.
